Requirements for WhatsApp Alpha Name Registration
- Access to the Administration Panel: Proxima will create and provide access to the Administration Panel for the designated responsible employee on Client side. This access includes OCM and the WhatsApp communication channel.
- An active Facebook account (this must be a standard personal Facebook account, not a Facebook Business Account): the company’s Facebook account / the Facebook account of the company’s regional office / the personal Facebook account of the employee managing the registration / or you may need to create a new personal Facebook account for this purpose.
- A contact Email address designated for receiving the verification code during registration: the company’s email address / the email address of the company’s regional office / the email address of the employee managing the registration.
- A new Mobile phone number designated for receiving a verification code during registration.
Please ensure that there are no active WhatsApp accounts associated with the phone number. The phone number should not have a personal WhatsApp account, WhatsApp Business account, or WhatsApp Business API account, as one number can only be linked to one type of WhatsApp account.
* Note: The Facebook account, Email address, and Mobile phone number used during the registration process will subsequently be linked to the WhatsApp Alpha Name.
WhatsApp:: Registration – Login to the registration system
- Access the registration system via the link https://client.pharmahrm.com/ using the username and password provided by Proxima.
- Click on the 'Admin Tool' button.
- After going to the Admin Tool page, click the ‘OCM' button in the upper right corner.
- In the following page, click the WhatsApp button.
- On the next page, click the 'Add' button to proceed with the registration of the WhatsApp alpha name through the Proxima provider.
WhatsApp:: Connecting a WhatsApp Alpha Name
After clicking the 'Add' button, a registration window for the Meta Business Solution Provider will open.

Initial Window (Consent): Click 'Allow All' to agree to the terms and conditions presented.

Organization Details (New account):
- Select the organization type as 'Company'.
- Enter the company name, your full name, the country where the company is registered, and contact email address (where a confirmation code will be sent).
- Create a password.
- Check the box 'I am not a robot'.
- Click the 'Create account' button.

Email Verification
- You will receive a six-digit code at the contact email address you entered.
- Enter this code in the pop-up window to verify your email and link it to your account. This confirmation is necessary for future logins (if you do not see the email in your inbox, please check your 'Spam' or 'Promotions' folders).
- On the next window, in the first field, select "No, this number is not connected to WhatsApp Business API." In the second field, select "No, this number is not connected to a personal WhatsApp account." Then, click on "Confirm number details.” *
* Please ensure that there are no active WhatsApp accounts associated with the phone number. The phone number should not have a personal WhatsApp account, WhatsApp Business account, or WhatsApp Business API account, as one number can only be linked to one type of WhatsApp account.

- Information about the next steps in the registration process will appear. Click "Start Embedded Signup" to continue.
- A pop-up window will open for Facebook account authentication (if the window does not appear, ensure that your browser is set to allow pop-ups). If you are not already logged in, you will need to enter the email and password of one of the following Facebook accounts (this must be a standard personal Facebook account, not a Facebook Business Account): the company’s Facebook account / the Facebook account of the company’s regional office / the personal Facebook account of the employee managing the registration / or you may need to create a new personal Facebook account for this purpose. This Facebook account is required for further work with the official WhatsApp Business API and will be linked to it.
- Once you have everything prepared, start the account linking process to Meta by clicking the "Continue" button.

Create a Facebook Business Manager Account
- Enter the company name as indicated in the documents.
- Add the company email address.
- Input the company website URL.
- Select the country where the company is registered.
- Click the ‘Next’ button.
This will create a WhatsApp Business API account within your Meta Business Manager, allowing you to link mobile phone number.

Set up your WhatsApp Business API Account and Profile:
- Choose the options: "Create account...” and "Create new profile...”
- Click the 'Next' button.
- Complete Your Display Name
You need to fill in the Display Name (Alpha Name) — this is the name of your company that HCPs will see when they receive messages from your company. The Display Name (Alpha Name) can differ from your legal entity name, but ensure that this name is also reflected on the website you provided earlier and in the logo.
In the same window, you can also specify some details:
- Select a category (default to "Other").
- Provide a company description that will appear on your profile in WhatsApp.
- Enter your website URL.
These details can be easily updated later, but the Display Name (Alpha Name) can only be changed through manual moderation, so double-check that it is entered correctly.

Add Mobile Phone Number. The final step in the registration process is to add mobile phone number.
Ensure that there are no active WhatsApp accounts associated with this phone number. The phone number should not have a personal WhatsApp account, WhatsApp Business account, or WhatsApp Business API account, as one number can only be linked to one type of WhatsApp account.
Add the new mobile phone number and click 'Next’.
- Verify Mobile Phone Number. Confirm your phone number using your preferred method and click 'Next’.
- Complete the Verification. At this stage, the number will be sent for verification. Click 'Finish'.
- Activation Process. After clicking 'Finish', an Activation window will appear. Do not close this window. It will take some time for Provider to activate the phone number on their end.
- Complete the Activation. Once the activation is complete, the window will close automatically and redirect you to the OCM Admin Panel, where you will see the code for your Alpha Name.
- Add the Alpha Name to the OCM Database. Enter the Alpha Name into the OCM database. Click the 'Add & Edit Alpha Names for Campaigns' button.
- Update the Alpha Name Details. In the pop-up window, add the name of your Display Name (Alpha Name) that you entered earlier, select the Country, and click 'Save'.
